What began as an idea, a dream to connect a community, grew into a social enterprise that has touched lives and brought that strong sense of belonging to a community of woodworkers. Whether beginners or artisans, our members and shop participants have found their way to the Woodshop and discovered that it isn’t just about working with saws or lumber. It is about people and the joy of creating!

Membership
Join us and discover your creativity with woodworking
When it comes to serious woodworking, membership to the Woodshop can help you grow your skills and meet other people in the woodworking community. Beginners and artisans welcome!
Do you feel alone as a woodworker? Or do you want to learn and are worried about being judged as a beginner? That’s where the Woodshop comes in. We are a community that supports woodworkers of all levels.
Maybe you have limited workspace. This could mean that you can’t have the equipment you need to grow as a woodworker or the space needed to store materials needed to build projects. This is a common problem for many woodworkers who aspire to take their woodworking to the next level or to start creating projects that help them grow as woodworkers.
More than just a workspace, more than just lumber and machines, the Woodshop offers a diverse, inviting community united by a love of craft. Whether taking a class or joining as a member, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside, learn from, and share knowledge with other woodworkers. You’ll have the space, equipment, and support you need.
It’s about the People
When you’re at the Woodshop, you’re never alone. Our experienced shop staff are here to ensure safety, and you can connect with more than 50 other woodworkers who have experience and expertise to share. A welcoming environment is one of the best places to learn, whether you want to join as a member or are looking to take a Workshop!
Some of our members are also facilitators within the Woodshop, and many volunteer to help keep the Shop running smoothly.
If you have wanted to get some volunteer hours, contact us! We’d love to speak to you. If you are an experienced woodworker who is open to facilitating, we’d be happy to hear from you.
